Sold and How To Eliminate Duplicate Files and Photos: October’s Investor Journey

What We Are Up To

September started with a cross-country Road trip as we drove from Vancouver to Toronto to pick up our middle daughter who had finished university. I was able to meet up with a few investor friends and visit with family including cuddling my new great nephew. Such a bonus!

October is going to be another busy month starting with the Trust Your Talent Annual Conference in Toronto which I am so looking forward to! It is always so fun to be with all the fellow TYT students learning and networking. Watch for photos next month! We also have a family trip planned to Hawaii for some relaxation. Looking forward to it! We are also starting to research our next purchases as we get back into acquisition mode.

Triplex Sold!

We sold a triplex in our portfolio that wasn’t performing as we require. It was an earlier purchase in our portfolio, and we were the capital partner on it. It came with many learnings and really helped solidify our requirements for a property and who we want to invest with. Now we can take these learnings to our next purchase.

Sunset almost all conditions removed

All the conditions have been removed on Sunset except one. We expect that one to be removed within the next two weeks.

Dollhouse

Is in waiting mode while we work with our lender and CMHC to figure out how the fix of the “no foundation” part of the building and the addition of another unit will be financed. With colder wetter weather coming, this may end up being a spring project.

2024 PSI Leadership Summit

I attended a great week in Cabo San Lucas with PSI Seminars and 160+ amazing humans.  It was a week of networking, connections, laughter, tears, sun and working on ourselves.  When was the last time you asked yourself “What is my purpose?” Each one of us is on this earth at this time in history for a purpose.  Spend some time thinking about why you are here! A big highlight for me was building bicycles and delivering them to a Foster Home there.

If you haven’t heard about PSI, they are the longest running personal development company in North America having just celebrated 51 years.  I highly recommend their training programs, and I have gotten so much out of them.

It starts with The 3 Day Basic course where you will spend 3 days learning all about you, what programs run you in your conscious and subconscious mind and how you can get more of what you want in life and lead a more fulfilling life. It is experiential learning, not sitting there listening to someone telling you what to do or how to live.

There is a 3 Day Basic coming up in Vancouver November 15-17. I have a discount code if you are interested and a couple of 50% off codes.  It comes with a money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose.

What I am listening to on Audible

I Hope I Screw This Up

by Kyle Cease

Kyle Cease is a comedian and actor I heard speak at an event last year. It was my favourite talk at the event so when I saw this book I didn’t hesitate, and he doesn’t disappoint.

Kyle takes you on a journey from when you were a new human and the “Giant” in your life taught you what to do to survive, to you as an adult and the things that hold you back. He gives practical suggestions for helping to let go of the fear of “screwing up” that holds you back from so much happiness and doing what lights up your heart.

He talks about how when trying anything that steps outside of our “identity” to try something new, our brain steps in to “keep us safe” and keep things status quo. Our brain has built a story to protect us. Your belief in your past story is limiting you from your untapped creative potential and life you want. When we stop looking for love and approval from outside sources and look inside for that love and approval, your world will shift. It is an enjoyable listen and could help you shift to that next thing in your life.

Useful Resource:

Photo Sweeper

Is your desktop full of duplicate files and folders? What about your photo library?

If you have multiple duplicates in your photo library or you take multiple photos of almost exactly the same picture trying to get the best one, Photo Sweeper can help you eliminate duplicates and choose between almost identical photos quickly and easily. It will also help eliminate duplicate files and folders to clean up your desktop and hard drives. Works on your phone also.

You can let the program automatically eliminate duplicates for you or have it mark them for you to look at and duplicate. It is so effective, I learned to just let it automatically eliminate my duplicates.
